CARBON LASER FACIAL

The Carbon Laser Facial is a two-step, non-ablative, skin-refining treatment designed to exfoliate and refresh the skin, giving you a smoother, firmer, and clearer-looking complexion. The treatment also reduces oil-production, shrinks enlarged pores, and calms active acne. Although this is a facial laser treatment, it is highly versatile and can be performed on the face, chest and back. A patch test will be performed 24 hours prior to treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Below are the most common questions we get regarding our Carbon Laser Facial.

HOW DOES THE CARBON LASER FACIAL WORK?

The first stage of the treatment involves applying a layer of liquid carbon to the face. This penetrates deeply into the pores, absorbing oil and dead skin cells. The Q-Switched Nd:Yag laser targets and destroys the carbon particles, taking dead skin cells with it. The heat produced from the laser reduces the bacteria responsible for acne and shrinks the sebaceous glands, reducing oil production in the skin. Carbon peels also target deeper layers of the skin to stimulate collagen production, resulting in firmer, clearer, and more youthful-looking skin.

HOW MANY CARBON LASER FACIALS WILL I NEED?

To achieve optimal results we recommend a course of 3-6 treatments, spaced at 10-14 day intervals.

AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR CARBON LASER FACIAL?

Prior to treatment, one of our aesthetic clinicians will consult with you to check you are suitable for treatment and assess your skin using our Observ Skin Analysis. A patch test will be performed to ensure your skin will tolerate the treatment.

WHAT IS THE RECOVERY TIME LIKE WITH A CARBON LASER FACIAL?

Your skin may appear a little pink for up to 24 hours. Clients can resume daily activities straight away but we recommend the use of an SPF 50 to protect the skin.

WHAT RESULTS WILL I SEE AFTER CARBON LASER FACIAL?

Your skin will look and feel smoother and some congestion will have been removed from the outer layer of the skin after a single session. A significant reduction in pores and acne lesions will require a number of sessions.
