Frequently Asked Questions

Below are the most common questions we get regarding

dermal fillers, volume replacement and lip augmentation.

SHOULD I HAVE SEVERAL FILLERS AT ONCE?

Some fillers work well in conjunction with each other, such as chin fillers and jawline fillers.

During your consultation with our Sussex based medical team we will ask questions to understand your needs and goals, and discuss your options with you before agreeing a treatment plan.

DO DERMAL FILLERS HURT?

We use a topical numbing cream prior to treatment, and the fillers themselves contain a small amount of anaesthetic, so treatment should be pain free.

ARE DERMAL FILLERS SAFE?

Some patients might experience a degree of redness, swelling, or bruising after treatment, but this is usually very slight and will subside within a day. Small bruises at the injection sites can be hidden with concealer until they heal.

WHEN WILL I SEE THE RESULTS OF DERMAL FILLERS?

There is an immediate visual impact, which is one of the reasons dermal fillers are so popular. It can take around 14 days for dermal fillers to fully settle, and for any slight bruising to heal.

IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD AVOID BEFORE TREATMENT?

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatories such as aspirin or Ibuprofen can exaggerate swelling, bruising, and marks at the injection sites. Don’t consume alcohol for 48 hours prior to treatment, and for another 48 hours afterwards. To maximise the results of dermal fillers, avoid pushing and pulling at your skin, and only scrub gently until the fillers have settled.
